Lance and the Kids tell about ASM

Lance has been busy at ASM. He’s been working with the Digital Media Kids after school to show and tell you about our school. We would like to share 3 of his favorite places and things to do at here: the Art Room, the soccer field and the playground. Next to each image are audio files to tell about each place. Enjoy!

Greetings to everyone at Youth Radio

Hello to all you US and Phillipines students! We are a group of 16 kids at the American School of Madrid in grades 2, 3 and 4. We are from the US, Spain, Mexico, New Zealand, Korea, Venezuela, and Bolivia.

We meet after school on Mondays and Wednesdays and we are called the “Digital Media Kids”. So far this year we have written, recorded and editied podcasts and also take photos and edit them. (Some of the photos are really funny.)

We listened to your Greetings podcast and a few of the other podcasts and we are looking forward to collaborating with you this year!

If you scroll down you can listen to our first podcasts.

Here is our greeting to all of you: Greetings from Madrid, Spain

Our First Podcast!

Welcome to the first podcast potpourri from the Digital Media Kids. As you will hear, the kids are already great writers, very good narrators and we are learning to become podcasters. On a basic level, that involves learning where to position the microphone and editing the sound track. We will also explore and choose theme music and add intros and outros to each podcast. By the end of this school year, the kids will be doing the entire process from planning and writing to recording and editing the sound track.

So, on with the show! Please click on the gray MP3 box before each student’s name to hear his/her podcast:

Catherine Catherine shares about abandoned animals in our area and how you can help

Pablo Pablo shares an informative piece about animals

Emily Emily shares her original story called, The Toothless Fish

Ji Won Ji Won shares her original story called, The Poor People and the Rich Woman

Hello world!

We are a group of 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade kids who meet 2 times a week after school. We have created podcasts, taken photos and edited the photos. Now we are going to go online and listen to some great examples of kid-created podcasts and then choose our theme music. We will then be ready to post our first podcasts and some images. Kids, click HERE to browse and listen to the kids in Room208 in Maine, US.
